SET firmly believes in the values of inclusion, and welcomes all students regardless of their background (such as public/government schools, private institutions, etc.), economic status, geographical location, ethnicity, or gender to participate. For instance, in 2019 SET chose an all-girls team as Team India 2019. In 2020 and 2021 (during the pandemic), SET selected students from all over India, resulting in a diverse blend of student talent from the entire country. In 2022, SET selected a team composed of students residing in the slums of Mumbai to represent India at FGC. And in 2023, SET has selected an extremely enthusiastic and talented team from Goa who have the potential of making the most significant impact this year in promoting STEM and robotics in their community and beyond.
The STEM Education Trust has a far-reaching and transformative impact. By empowering students with Robotics & STEM knowledge and skills, SET is preparing them for a future that demands innovation and technological prowess. Ultimately, the STEM Education Trust is an invaluable force for change, promoting inclusivity and breaking down educational barriers. By providing learning opportunities to students from all backgrounds, they are nurturing a generation of young thinkers and problem solvers who will shape India’s future and contribute to global progress.
