Recognizing the immense potential of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields and Robotics, SET believes that every child in India, regardless of their geographical location or socioeconomic background, deserves access to quality education in these areas. Robotics and STEM education equips students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that are essential for success in the modern world.
Partners with FIRST Global each year to select and mentor a team of students to represent India at the FIRST Global Challenge
STEM Education Trust believe that by making science and technology as exciting as any other sport, we can inspire the world’s two billion youth to pursue STEM fields and be the leaders who collectively solve our planet’s most pressing problems.
Launches a unique STEM challenge that requires teams to perform critical thinking, evaluate design options, get hands-on with their prototypes and build a solution to solve the STEM challenge. The best teams from this first stage of selection are invited to present their solution to a panel of judges consisting of STEM and robotics experts from across the country. Teams that perform well in this round advance to the next level of interviews where the team as a whole, and team members as individuals are evaluated for their suitability to represent India at FGC. The interview panel considers multiple aspects such as technical knowledge & skills, ability to create and present fundraising pitches, working well as a team, and the ability to imbibe FGC values such as gracious professionalism and cooperitition. The team that performs the best during all stages of selection is finally chosen as Team India.
